Today, we had to compete for attention with a concrete truck! The truck arrived early to pour the foundation for the summer house. The playground was closed because the truck truck took up too much space! That meant that we were really crowded in one corner of the yard with big and little children all together. Today we are thankful for better-behaved children! They calmed down from the initial excitement of our visit and we were much more productive today. We started off the day playing hand bells. We are thankful for a great first day of work at the orphanage in Lom. We started the morning working with the younger children playing with bubbles, balls, crayons, and the parachute. We just got back from dinner and we’re thankful for a great day in Bulgaria. It is nice to finally be in Lom with the children. We wish you could be here to see how much they appreciate your generosity. The money and donations really mean a lot to these kids. Our “real” work hasn’t even begun, but we can tell the kids really feel the love from Commerce FBC from our first visit today....

We just got to Lom after a long car ride from Sofia. Everyone is safe and sound! We are about to go see the children at the orphanage in town. We are excited to see them! David and Wayne went to another orphanage this morning to work on the playground. We are hoping they join us tonight. We will write more details soon!
